The Wanderer's Curse

I walked the path where shadows creep,
Where time is lost and none can sleep,
A road that stretched past mortal sight,
Between the realms of day and night.

Once I lived with flesh and bone,
But now I wander, never home,
The curse I carry burns so deep,
That even death refused to keep.

For every step I take, I lose,
A memory gone, a lover’s bruise,
My name, my past, erased by pain,
Now only echoes still remain.

The stars above grow faint and cold,
The path is dark, the nights are bold,
Yet something deeper pulls me on,
A haunting song that never’s gone.

I’ve seen the trees twist into bone,
Their roots have pierced the earth alone,
And rivers run with blood, not rain,
Yet still I walk in silent shame.

The air is thick with whispered lies,
From creatures hiding just outside,
I feel their gaze, I hear their breath,
And sense their hunger promising death.

The ground itself begins to quake,
With every choice I dare to make,
Yet forward still I push and fight,
A fool against this endless night.

At last, I see the hollow gate,
Where shadows shift, and demons wait,
Their eyes are flames, their mouths agape,
They beckon me toward my fate.

I pause, my soul a thread of fear,
What lies beyond, I cannot hear,
But turning back was never mine,
I step through, bound to the divine.

And now I fall, or do I rise?
There’s darkness here, beyond the skies,
Where every fear, and dream, collides,
But in the end, we all must hide.

I walk the path where shadows creep,
No longer lost, no longer deep,
For in this place where none remain,
I am the echo, bound by pain.

Rebirth in Shadows

I wandered through the fields of gray,
Where shadows lingered, hopes decayed,
Each step I took, a weight to bear,
A heart once bright, now filled with despair.

  • Once I moved with hands of wrath,
My choices carved a twisted path,
Each word a dagger, each glance a curse,
In my own hell, I’d grown immersed.

But deep within, a flicker glowed,
A whispered hope that gently flowed,
Through barren lands, I sought to find,
The fragments of a brighter mind.

The ghosts of all I left behind
Surrounded me, their pain entwined,
Yet as I stood, I breathed them in,
Embraced my faults, my hidden sins.

In darkness’ grip, I learned to see,
The fractured parts that once were me,
Each tear I shed, a thread unwound,
A tapestry of lost, then found.

I reached the edge of shadows cast,
Where dawn’s first light began to last,
With trembling hands, I touched the flame,
And whispered softly, “I’ll reclaim.”

A voice within began to rise,
A song of hope, a sweet reprise,
It spoke of love and second chances,
Of breaking chains and daring glances.

The path ahead was rough and steep,
Yet courage bloomed where fear ran deep,
I stepped through thorns, through fire and ice,
For I had paid my sacrifice.

With every breath, I chose to heal,
To forge anew, to learn, to feel,
The weight of darkness shed like skin,
I walked toward light and found within.

Now every step a promise made,
To seek the good, to unafraid,
For in this journey, I have learned,
That redemption blooms where fire burned.
